A BRECKENRIDGE
GIVING INITIATIVE
WHAT
WE'RE DOING
The Dwell Well Project is a giving initiative geared toward full-time residents of Summit County. Through the Dwell Well Project, Dwell Summit Real Estate will pay three months of rent (up to $5,000) for one deserving Summit County family or individual. Our goal is to change the conversation about renting a home here in Summit County, Colorado.
WHY
WE'RE GIVING
We know that paying a few months of rent isn’t going to change the world—but it’s our hope that it will create a ripple effect of goodwill and good conversation in our community. Our vision is for one deserving person or family to use this extra money to create a cushion for unexpected emergencies or create a down payment fund for a future Summit County home purchase.
WHO
WE'RE REACHING
Dwell Summit is accepting Rent Recipient nominations now through January 31, 2019. Applicants/nominees must be Summit County residents engaged in a minimum 12-month lease to qualify. TERRIN AND CHRIS

After reviewing more than 60 applications, Dwell Summit Real Estate is pleased to announce Terrin and Chris Abell as the recipients of $5,000 in rent from the inaugural Dwell Well Project giving initiative. Rent will be paid directly to the Abells’ landlord for the months of March, April, and May of 2019. Dwell Summit owner Tanya Delahoz, Lesley Mumford with Advocates for Victims of Assault, and Matt Hanson with Alpine Bank comprised the judging panel that selected this year’s recipient(s).
Terrin Abell serves as the Youth Programs Coordinator at Breckenridge Recreation Center. She has been a resident of Summit County since 2011. Chris Abell is a Ski Patrol Supervisor at Breckenridge Ski Resort and has lived in Summit County for 17 years.
“Terrin works tirelessly at the Breckenridge Recreation Center for our kids. The changes she has made to the childcare program since assuming the position of Youth Programs Coordinator are highly visible and so appreciated.
The Abells are both long-time local residents who are deeply invested in Summit County. We’re thrilled to give back to them through the Dwell Well Project, and hope this rent break will help them put down permanent roots as Breckenridge homeowners in the near future!” said Delahoz.
Added Hanson: “It was a pleasure to work on the Dwell Well Project. I hope more and more companies look for novel ways like this one to give back to the communities they serve.”
THE DWELL WELL PROJECT

Having managed Breckenridge rental properties since 2010, I’m well-versed in the dramatic market fluctuations that often frustrate Summit County tenants. I also recognize that there is a lot of anger associated with the high cost of living in Breckenridge and the fact that it only continues to climb.
At Dwell Summit we value our tenants tremendously and recognize the contributions they make to our community. With that said, we want ALL tenants to thrive here. Our vision is for one deserving person or family to use the money given by the Dwell Well Project to create a cushion for unexpected emergencies or create a down payment fund with an eye toward buying a Summit County property in the future.
Our team is on a mission to spread goodwill and empower those seeking to put down roots in our community. Together, let’s change the conversation about renting in Summit County!
